It is the policy of Omya Australia to manage its activities in such a way as to reduce the impact on the environment to a practical minimum.

The Company:

• Will conserve natural resources by utilising raw materials and energy in a responsible way
• Will ensure that its facilities, manufacturing operations and products comply with the statutory and regulatory requirements of environment agencies
• Is committed to continual improvement of its environment performance by setting clear environment objectives and regularly reviewing and monitoring progress against them
• Will implement its Environment Policy through the application of an Environment Management System (EMS) and local Environment Management Plans (EMP)
• Will ensure that all employees, suppliers, customers and other interested parties can be informed of its continued commitment to environment improvement
• Omya Australia is involved in mine and quarry activities and it is Omya's policy to manage these activities to meet or exceed all its obligations relating to environment matters on and around mine sites.
• The Bathurst, Geelong and Moss Vale plants have ISO 14001 certification.
